The Woodmont Farmers Market starts today and gathers each Wednesday, rain or shine, from 3:30 – 6:30 p.m. until Aug. 27 at Robert Treat Farm.

Toplands Farm of Roxbury will be new this year to the lineup of vendors that will be selling produce and many other items.

“At Toplands Farm, we’ve been raising hormone-free, pasture-raised beef from our farm in Roxbury for friends and family for over 30 years,” according to a write up about the farm. “For the first week of the market, we are going to feature our ground beef, beef burger patties, beef frankfurters, and bone-in ribeye steaks.”

Other vendors expected at the market include Best Buddy Biscuits, selling all-natural dog and cat treats; Connecticut Gourmet, bakers of specialty and artisan breads; Dash ‘N Drizzle, premium extra virgin olive oils and some of Italy’s finest aged and flavor fused aged balsamic vinegars; and Gambardella Seafood, straight from the Stonington docks.

Jane’s Good Food will sell jarred pickles, fruits and more.

Kathy’s Famous Cookies will bring cookies made right here in Milford.

Lemon Sisters of Milford will sell freshly squeezed lemonade, made to order.

Some others at the market include Mountaintop Mushrooms, Mystic Cheese Company and Nutty Bunny, bringing handcrafted non-dairy frozen desserts that are 100% organic, vegan, non-GMO and gluten-free.

Several other vendors will be at the market every other week: Scratch Baking of Milford, which specializes in a full array of artisan breads, scones, croissants, brownies, pies, sweets and cakes using organic and locally-grown ingredients as much as possible; Shayna B’s & the Pickle, selling vegan, wheat-free and gluten-free baked goods; Shearwater Coffee Roasters; Smith’s Acres, bringing fresh fruit and vegetables, and Smyth’s Trinity Farm selling a variety of milk products, premium yogurts, and more.

Acoustic Crew will be playing classic rock and rhythm blues today, and Daisy the Clown will paint faces.
