Kenneth Robert Walker “Coach Walker”

Kenneth Robert Walker “Coach Walker”, age 60, longtime resident of Milford and beloved husband to Nancy Walker, passed away on Friday, June 29, 2012.

Born in Bridgeport on July 4, 1951, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Ann Meuser Walker.

He was a devoted teacher, coach, and friend who took great pride in the people’s lives he touched.

Coach Walker was a physical education teacher for the past 35 years, the majority of his career teaching at Joseph A. Foran High School. He was the kind of person that people wanted to know.

In addition to his wife, Nancy of 35 years, he is survived by his two children, Whitney Ann Walker and Garrett Kenneth Walker both of Milford, his sisters JoAnn Walker of Milford and Patti-Lynn Walker of New Haven, two sisters-in-law Debra Pasquini and Karen Turner and her husband Eric, six nephews Brian Daniel, Jameson Walker, Taylor Walker, Andrew Turner, Aaron Turner, Jarid Smith, and one niece Corie Smith.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 2nd at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Church, 70 Gulf St., Milford with burial to follow at St. Mary Cemetery. Friends and family may call on Sunday, July 1st from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT 06460.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Coach Walker’s name to the Joseph A. Foran High School Scholarship Fund (put Coach Walker’s name in check memo), 80 Foran Rd., Milford, CT 06460.
