Cumberland Farms expected at old Gloria’s site by end of year

Jon Angel, president of Angel Commercial L.L.C., a Southport based commercial real estate brokerage firm, has leased the 1.22 acres of vacant land at 258-266 Boston Post Road to Cumberland Farms Inc, for the future home of their second convenience store and gas station in Milford.

The triangular parcel was formerly Gloria’s Farm Market, a 40-year-old family business. The location has three street frontages: Plains Road, West Clark Street and Boston Post Road and has easy access to I-95.

Cumberland Farms recently received final approval from Planning and Zoning to construct a 4,500 square foot convenience store with clapboard façade, 10 gasoline pumps, and an outdoor picnic table dining area. Construction has already begun with completion planned for the last quarter of the year.

“Milford’s strong demographics and the property’s location were the driving forces behind Cumberland Farms’ decision to develop the parcel. Given the economic challenges over the last few years, it is encouraging news when quality corporations like Cumberland Farms commits to new construction projects,” said Angel, who negotiated the lease transaction.
