Help cleanup Silver Sands

Milford Youth Lacrosse is coordinating a cleanup effort for Silver Sands State Park Board Walk from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 25.
“There was tremendous damage to the newly built board walk,” Seam McGinley from MYL said. “My wife Debi and I walked the board walk and saw a hundred-foot section that was covered by sand.
“With all our efforts we can uncover that section for people to walk on once again.  We are coordinating this event for Thanksgiving weekend.
“People can bring shovels, gloves and brooms. We are trying to coordinate with local restaurants to supply coffee and snacks.  We will meet at Walnut Street Pavilion.
“We will also be cleaning the beach area for boards, broken objects, etc. Come down and work off some of that Turkey dinner while helping out your community.
“Stayed tuned to the website and MYL Facebook page for update over the next few days.”
