Police nab group of shoplifters at Marshalls

Milford police arrested and took custody of a group of people for their involvement in a mass shoplifting that occurred at the Marshalls store on May 21.

Milford police say that Raysean Simpson, 30, of Yonkers, NY, Alberto More, 28, of the Bronx, NY, Kristopher Bowen, 22, of Mt. Vernon, NY, Tashay Smith, 25, of Perth Amboy, NJ and Shenice Green, 27, of the Bronx, NY were all arrested for their alleged involvement in taking property from the store without paying for it.

During the investigation, police found the group had several items with store security sensors still attached to them in their two vehicles from other Marshalls and TJ Max stores they hit in Connecticut and New Jersey valued at $3,086.64.

Police also located 17.5 grams of marijuana packaged in several small bags inside a vehicle operated by Simpson.

Smith was found to be in possession of shoplifting device materials. All of the arrestees were held on a $25,000 bond.
