Milford man charged with possession of child pornography

FI-PoliceA Milford man was one of 18 people arrested Thursday, March 27, for alleged computer crimes.

James Brennan, 52, whose last known address was on Woodhill Road, was charged with first-degree possession of child pornography and promoting a minor in an obscene performance. Bond was $50,000 for court April 14.

Detectives from the Connecticut State Police Computer Crimes Unit, assisted by members of the State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigations and Sex Offenders Unit, conducted an arrest warrant sweep across the state. The Connecticut State Police Computer Crimes Investigations Unit is also the command for Connecticut’s Internet Crimes Against Children’s Task Force.

State Police said the arrests were the result of “several lengthy and thorough investigations.”

David Dembosky, 37, of Hynyadi Avenue in Fairfield, was charged with first-degree possession of child pornography and promoting a minor in an obscene performance. Bond was $50,000 for court April 14.

Michael Forthmuller, 38, of Travis Avenue in Stamford, was charged with first-degree possession of child pornography and promoting a minor in an obscene performance. Bond was $75,000 for court April 14.

Tyler Czardo, 22, of 6th Street in Danbury, was charged with first-degree possession of child pornography and promoting a minor in an obscene performance. Bond was $50,000 for court April 14.

Charles Fuller, 48, of Willow Street in Meriden, with first-degree possession of child pornography, promoting a minor in an obscene performance, and obscenity. Bond was $50,000 for court April 14.

Louis Ornato, 25, of Vineyard Lane in East have, with first-degree possession of child pornography. Bond was $50,000 for court April 14.

David Couturier, 48, of East Street in Stafford Springs, with first-degree possession of child pornography, promoting a minor in an obscene performance and importing child pornography. Bond was $25,000 for court March 28.

Lee Potter, 43, of Cards Mill Road in Columbia, with first-degree possession of child pornography and importing child pornography. Bond was $25,000 for court April 14.

Sean Kafka, 30, of Beckwith Drive in Plainville, was charged with first-degree possession of child pornography and promoting a minor in an obscene performance. Bond was $500,000 for court March 28.

Paul Berthiaume, 42, of Woodlawn Circle in East Hartford, was charged with third-degree possession of child pornography. Bond was $100,000 for court April 8.

Vincent Labella, 43, of Oxford Drive in Manchester, was charged with first-degree possession of child pornography. Bond was $250,000 for court March 27.

Steven Hanisko, 51, of Carpenter Lane in Wallingford, was charged with second-degree possession of child pornography. Bond was $50,000 for court April 8.

Brian Faford, 25, of Charter Oak Drive in East Lyme, was charged with first-degree possession of child pornography. Bond was $150,000 for court March 27.

Donald Faford, 57, also of Charter Oak Drive in East Lyme, was also charged with first-degree possession of child pornography. His bond was also $150,000 for court March 27.

James Demay, 28, of Broad Street Extension in Groton, was charged with first-degree possession of child pornography. Bond was $250,000 for court March 27.

James Patrick Palinkas, 23, of Mckinley Avenue in, Norwich, was charged with possession of child pornography in the second degree and importing child pornography. Bond was $100,000 for court March 28.

John Shumski, 50, whose last known address was on Hickory Road in Colchester, was charged with second-degree possession of child pornography and importing child pornography. Bond was $100,000 for court April 10.

Frederick Merrill, 67, of Merrow Road in Tolland, was charged with first-degree possession of child pornography, fifth-degree larceny by possession, and violation of the state’s sex offender registry laws. Bond was $125,000 for court March 27.
