The Foran High girls volleyball team was edged out, 3-2, by Sacred Heart Academy in the quarterfinal round of the Southern Connecticut Conference playoffs on Friday.
Coach Julie Johnson’s fifth-seeded Lions are 13-6, while the fourth-seeded Pacers advance with a 15-4 record.
Rebekah DeRosa had 47 assists and five aces in the 25-12, 25-22, 24-26, 18-25, 16-14 marathon in Hamden.
Fallon Bevino had 31 kills and seven digs.
Danielle Kemp had 26 digs.
