The Coast Guard suspended their active search for a missing swimmer in Milford today.
Brian Bakunas, 34, was last seen swimming near the Walnut Beach Pier shortly before 8 p.m. Monday. The reporting source lost sight of Bakunas in the heavy surf.
A rescue boat crew from Coast Guard Station New Haven conducted a search of the area and were notified by Miliford Police Department that they had located the missing swimmer deceased.
