The Milford Recreation Department is accepting team registrations for its Full Court Pick-up Basketball League that will play weeknights in July and August at the Fowler Field courts.
This non-refereed league will be a supervised “call your own” league.
Games consist of two, 20-minute running time halves. The league is strictly recreational; there are no standings kept or end of season awards.
Teams participating in rec’s winter league may use the same roster and will compete in the same age division.
New teams will also be accepted and must complete a roster.
Age eligibility is established as of Jan. 1, 2012.
Boy and girl leagues are offered in 12U, 14U and High School divisions.
Minimum birth year to participate is 1997.
10U teams who meet this requirement may participate in the 12U division.
There will be a high school division for those 15 years of age and older, however, graduated high school seniors are not eligible.
All teams must have a responsible adult as coach.
A full list of rules are available at the Recreation Department and at ci.milford.ct.us.
Uniforms are not required, although like colored shirts are recommended.
Registration is for Milford residents only. The league fee is $25 per team.
All players parent/guardian must sign the roster/release of liability.
The deadline to register for the league as a team is Wednesday, June 13 or when league limits are met.
The Milford Recreation Department is no longer accepting individual registrations. Those individuals interested in playing but do not have a team should contact the Recreation Department and ask to be put on a free agent list.
