Spartans rally past Indians

The Milford Indians ice hockey team was edged out by Amity of Woodbridge, 5-4, on Jan. 8.
After a scoreless first period, Milford (1-4-1) took a 2-1 lead into the final period over the Spartans (4-2).
Zach White had both goals for Milford, with Jarrod Butts and Jon DePascale earning the assists.
White’s short-handed goal 17 seconds into the final frame made it 3-1, DePascale had the assist.
Amity closed within 3-2 before Will Vitelli’s unassisted tally restored the two-goal lead at the 6:51 mark.
Amity rallied behind Adam Shea, who scored three times in the final frame, including the eventual winner at 11:35.
Noah Ericson had 29 saves for Milford and Brian Mosher 24 for Amity.
