Police think robbery suspect is same man who struck in Naugatuck

Milford police believe a robber who recently struck in Naugatuck is the same knife-wielding man who robbed Subway and several other area businesses in Milford in recent weeks.

Police released several pictures of the suspect and are asking anyone with information to call them.

In Milford, similar robberies took place Friday, Oct. 19, just before 9 p.m. at Subway in the Adams plaza, and Saturday, Oct. 13, at the Quick Food Mart located at 305 New Haven Avenue.

A knife-wielding bandit robbed the Milford Wine & Spirits shop at 149 Welches Point Road on Wednesday, Oct. 10, at 2:20 p.m.

Two earlier robberies occurred at the Dunkin’ Donuts at 1353 New Haven Avenue on Sept. 28 and the other at the Shell gas station on 524 New Haven Avenue on Oct. 6.

No injuries have been reported during any of the robberies, but police and business owners remain concerned.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Dennis Broderick at 203-783-4753, email dbroderick@ci.milford.ct.us or visit milford.ct.us and click on “Crime Tips.”
