Athala Buckingham (Bucky) Hatch

Athala Buckingham (Bucky) Hatch, age 91, of Warrenton, VA, formerly of Milford, CT, passed away at The Villa at Suffield Meadows, Sunday, October 7, 2012.

Born October 22, 1920, in Milford to the late Norman S. and Anna E. Munson Buckingham, she was a graduate of Vassar College.

Bucky was a piano teacher and church organist in Independence, MO, and was involved with church activities, golf, and playing the piano for many years.

Her life was a blessing to all who knew her with her independent nature, humor, and beautiful piano playing.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years, William S. Hatch, also formerly of Milford. Surviving Bucky is her son, Steve Hatch (Rebecca) of Palm City, FL; her daughter, Debbie Angerman (Bill) of Gainesville, VA; and six grandchildren and their families.

A memorial service was held on Friday, October 19th at Centreville United Methodist Church, Centerville, VA.
