Ice hangs from a fence in Milford Sunday morning.

Milford residents awoke to an icy world Sunday, as Saturday’s snow, followed by rain, left nearly everything covered in a sheet of ice.

Trees could be heard cracking and falling under the weight. A number of trees were down in residential areas.

Temperatures at 8 a.m. were 31 degrees, and according to Internet weather forecasts should increase to the high 30s by noon, melting much of the morning ice.
